Our recent work: The Dorchester Hotel, Newbury Racecourse, T.J. Morris
Our blog covers a fair amount of ground — from advice on choosing colours for signage to forthcoming trade shows. But this time, we thought we’d share some of our recent work with you.
Firstly, we were delighted to be commissioned by none other than The Dorchester, Mayfair. This iconic hotel has long been considered one of the most prestigious in the world. Its guests have included royalty, statesmen and luminaries from every field. Long considered a byword for impeccable standards, The Dorchester boasts a three Michelin star restaurant, timelessly elegant public spaces and 250 ultra-luxurious rooms (as well as 49 suites).
We produced an acrylic plaque to commemorate Roland Fasel’s time as General Manager of the Dorchester, and to welcome Robert Whitfield to the same position.
We are producing an increasing number of commemorative plaques in acrylic, but this was a special project for us. It’s a privilege to have worked for one of the great British institutions.
In addition to The Dorchester, we have some ongoing work with a very different British institution — Newbury Racecourse. The Berkshire course has been operating since 1905, though racing took place on the site for a hundred years prior to that. The venue has recently attracted crowds approaching 21,000. We hope to have some pictures up soon!
We’ve also been busy producing signage for Home Bargains, a trading name for T.J. Morris Ltd. The company is a great British success story — founder Tom Morris has grown the business from a single store to one of the largest private companies in the UK. It’s also the largest independent grocer in the UK, with 400 stores and 17,000 staff.
Lastly, we have also produced signage for global company Lockheed Martin.
That’s our round-up for now. We hope you can see from our mini-portfolio that Mirage Signs are one of the most versatile signmakers around, producing work for diverse sectors and clients. So if you would like to see what we can do for your organisation, please get in touch.
