Our Recent Work: Site Signage and Directional Signs
Happy New Year to our customers and our readers!
We’re just about recovered from an extremely busy pre-Christmas period, but fueled by mountains of turkey and mince pies, the Mirage team are rearing to go again.
We thought we’d kick off 2019 by showing you some of the site signage we’ve recently worked on. Back in July, we blogged about our site signs for Mortimer Quarry in Berkshire. Since then, we’ve been working on a second quarry site: Whatley Quarry in Somerset.
Run by Hanson, a leading supplier of aggregates, Whatley Quarry is probably one of the busiest in the UK. The site is working flat out, producing aggregate for the Hinkley Point C power station project (amongst others).
Obviously, with a large and busy site, good signage is crucial for everyone’s safety. Mirage worked on Phase 1 of the new signage for the entire site This began by installing a directional way-finding colour system. Each area of the site has been colour-coded for clarity, a tried-and-tested system for creating maximum clarity and ease of use. We have started at the quarry’s entrance, but with such a large site, there is much more to install.
If you require signage for your construction site or other work site, please get in touch — as you can see, we have plenty of experience.
Signage for New Housing Developments
If you live or work in Wiltshire, you’ll probably have noticed new housing developments springing up across the county. With an ongoing housing shortage in the UK, it’s certainly needed.
One of the developers meeting this need is Hills Homes. The Swindon-based company has won several awards for its developments, and is a division of the Hills Group. Mirage Signs have worked extensively with the Hills Group on other projects, so we were delighted to be providing signage for their housing division.
Pictured below is our signage for Blunsdon, a development just north of Swindon and High Penn Park, a large 200+ house site outside Calne. Each post-mounted sign uses 114mm diameter aluminium posts and panels with digital prints to the face. We’re pleased to say there are plenty more sites in the pipeline.
Not all of our customers are as large as Hills Group —so whatever the size of your enterprise, if you need business signs like these, please call us today.
That’s all for now. We’ll be back next month with more of our company news!
