We Beat the Rain and Wind at Newbury Racecourse
We’ve been working with Newbury Racecourse for some time now, improving the existing signage and providing signs for their new developments and big annual events. It’s great to support one of the most famous horse-racing venues in the country!
A few weeks back, we supplied a mulitude of signs for their biggest event of the year — the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival. This two-day extravaganza is attended by thousands and includes the prestigious Ladbrokes Trophy.
All sorts of signs for Newbury
A big event like the Winter Carnival needs (not surprisingly!) lots of signs. Here’s a selection of what we provided.
Our examples include:
- Shape cut stainless steel lettering for the Copper King Bar and Many Clouds Bar — new round betting and bar buildings in the heart of the site
- A large vinyl wall flood poster (Denman) applied directly to the wall of the DDF Grandstand.
- Toblerone triangular printed display units using 5mm direct printed Akyprint
- Vinyl logos for the many marquees in the shopping village, such as the Long Shot bar.
The Mirage Team vs the Weather
As you can see in the photo, the marquees on the Winter Carnival Shopping Village are flapping about like no one’s business and there’s rain on the lens. They were pretty horrible conditions to install signs in.
However, we knew we had to get the work done for the big day. In the end, thanks to our team’s determination, it was Mirage Signs 1, Weather 0.
Mirage Signs produces graphics for all types and sizes of event — and all types and sizes of sites. For all your signage needs, please get in touch!
