Our Recent Work: Graphics for a Light Aeroplane
Mirage Signs have now supplied registration letters and graphics for quite a few aircraft. Back in June last year, we blogged about one example. That time, we were working at White Waltham Airfield, applying graphics and lettering to a YAK-29 aerobatic plane.
In this update, we’ll show you some more recent work we carried out on an aircraft. This time, the plane in question was a BRM Aero Bristell NG5. It’s a super-smart ultralight two-seater, which boasts an empty weight of just 290kg. Powered by a single 100 horsepower engine, it cruises along happily at 133mph.
We discovered that the Bristell NG5 also has lots and lots of surface rivets! This made applying the decals and registrations a little tricky. Fortunately, our team are experts and have plenty of experience of working with all types of challenging surfaces. Our customer was happy with the finish — to see why, please take a look at our pictures below.
We had designed the decals in collaboration with the customer. As we think the photos show, decals can really finish off a plane’s look, adding vibrancy and personality. With the high-quality vinyl we use, they do last very well, but they can always be replaced if the plane needs a new look. Registration letters are a requirement of the Civil Aviation Authority and must follow their guidelines.
Mirage Signs supply vinyl graphics and registration letters for aircraft, gliders, ultralights and microlights. Based in Warminster, Wiltshire, we supply a huge range of graphics and signage to businesses in the local area, nationally and internationally. Contact us today and we will be happy to chat through your needs.
