Customer update: Newbury Racecourse Signs in time for Party in the Paddock
In what’s been a super-busy July at Mirage Signs, one of our most noteworthy jobs has been at Newbury Racecourse.
A familiar name for any racing enthusiast, Newbury has been operating as a racecourse for over a century — and we were proud to be back working at such a well-known venue. As with our commission at The Dorchester (not that we’re name-dropping!), there’s something a wee bit special about contributing to a famous British institution.
The Mirage Signs team had work to do all over the course, which included flags, banners and signage for the new entrance building. We’re especially pleased with the latter. We fitted a shape-cut stainless steel logo to the cladded wall, frosted window manifestations to the entrance doors and vinyl lettering to the windows and fascia.
Party in the Paddock
Timing on this work was crucial. The owners wanted the new building ready for Friday’s racing and for the Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday 22nd July. The Saturday event included Jess Glynne, who performed on the ‘Party in the Paddock’ stage. Pop sensation Jess is one of only two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK number one singles. You can catch a little of her performance at Newbury below:
During the preceding week, the Mirage team put in a 12 hour shift to ensure all was in readiness. Hard work, but it was worth it to finish ahead of schedule.
We reckon that the new signage looks a treat and gives visitors to Newbury Racecourse a stylish and contemporary welcome — what do you think?
Mirage Signs provide signage for almost every sector and are one of the most trusted names in signmaking in Wiltshire and the South West. Talk to us today.
